Day 2- Two people make a relationship. It’s always been about us having a relationship with YHWH.
- 1 John 4:10: This is LOVE: not that we loved GOD, but that he loved us and sent his SON as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
- 1 John 5:2-3: This is how we know that we are children of GOD: by LOVING GOD and carrying out his commands. This is LOVE for GOD: to obey his commands.
Do you remember this little hymn?
God is Love and we show him Love by obeying His commandments!
In fact the symbol we use for Love is a heart which really symbolizes two human hearts together as one.
So for today, I think it would be great to have paper hearts with our family and friends names on it and hide them all over the house. The activity could be finding the hearts and talking about how Yahweh has great love for each one of us and wants us to come back to the garden to be with Him 🙂
We have two hands. Hands that can help or hurt. And on those hands we have ten fingers that can help us show Love to our Messiah. So this craft involves some cutting, gluing, and finger painting fun from His Treasure Seekers.
Strawberries cut in half look like hearts. (Here’s another tutorial to cut strawberries in the shapes of hearts here.) Simple, yet delicious. Put them in a bowl of Greek yogurt to include some protein into your snack and drizzle with honey to remind your little ones that “how sweet are (YHWH’S) words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” Psalm 119:103
We will be following the Bible reading plan from Hebrews4Christians
